Property Accessibility Information

​At Haven's Treehouse, we want every guest to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Because our property is an elevated luxury treehouse located on a mountainside, some areas may present challenges for guests with mobility limitations or those who have difficulty navigating stairs or uneven terrain. We encourage you to review the information below before booking.

 

Arrival & Parking

• Private parking for six or more vehicles.

• Parking is located immediately adjacent to the entrance stairs.

• Access to the property includes a private dirt road leading to a mostly paved driveway.

• The driveway is suitable for most passenger vehicles and all-wheel drive is typically not required.

• There are no curbs on the property.

 

Entrance

• The treehouse is elevated and is accessed by two flights of exterior stairs.

• Five steps lead from the ground to the first landing.

• Seven additional steps lead to the upper landing and front entrance.

• Handrails are provided.

• The stairs have solid wood treads with open backs.

• The front doorway has a raised threshold.

• Exterior lighting is available around the treehouse and is controlled from inside the home. Guests arriving after dark may wish to use a flashlight when entering for the first time.

 

Interior

• The home is entirely on one level once inside.

• There are no interior stairs.

• The floor plan is open with hardwood flooring throughout.

• There are no interior rugs or changes in floor level.

• Doorways are narrower than those found in many newer homes.

• There are no interior hallways.

 

Bedrooms

• Both king bedrooms are located on the main level.

• Beds are standard height.

• One side of each bed offers generous clearance, while the opposite side has more limited walking space.

 

Bathrooms

• Two full bathrooms with comfort-height toilets.

• Both showers have a small threshold at the entrance.

• Handheld shower heads are provided.

• One shower includes a built-in bench.

• Grab bars are not installed.

 

Outdoor Areas

• The rear deck is accessible through three sliding glass doors, each with a small threshold at the track.

• Railings are installed throughout the deck.

• The hot tub is recessed into the deck, but guests must step up approximately 12 inches to enter.

• The fire pit is located on a gravel surface and is accessible without stairs.

 

Terrain

• Haven's Treehouse is situated on a wooded mountainside.

• While much of the immediate yard surrounding the treehouse is relatively flat and suitable for walking or pets, portions of the property feature gravel surfaces, uneven ground, and steep natural slopes. Guests should use caution when exploring the property.

 

Safety Features

• Smoke detectors are installed throughout the home.

• Carbon monoxide detectors are installed.

• The home is well lit indoors.

• Exterior lighting is available around the treehouse.

 

Pets

• Dogs are welcome.

• The property is not fenced.

• Much of the immediate yard provides open space for pets, but guests should supervise them at all times due to the surrounding natural terrain and nearby steep hillside.
